Inge D. Hess

Inge Hess spent her turbulent childhood and youth in war-ravaged Germany, her country of birth. Her sense of adventure brought her to Canada in 1959, While raising four children, she attended the University of Alberta and attained a B. Ed, majoring in physical education.

The great outdoors are her passion. She spent much of her spare time and vacations rock climbing in the Rockies when she was young, and skiing, hiking, bicycling, camping and kayaking well into her senior years. In spite of a very active life, she made time to volunteer for a number of organizations, especially the German Canadian Cultural Association.

Now in retirement, she makes Edmonton her home.
