Marie L. Bourdeau

Marie grew up in central Alberta, Canada. She experienced repeated abandonments from age two through to 11, when her father reclaimed her and her sister. Life became more stable after Marie realized her dad really did want them both with him. She accepted Jesus as her Saviour at the age of 12, and for the next 22 years life was a mixture of following Jesus and straying away, that resulted in more pain and disappointment. She continually turned back to Jesus who kept His promise to never cast her away. The early childhood experiences contributed to her choosing poorly for her first and second marriages.

In the second marriage, at the age of 34, Pastor Terry McComb taught her that it is Jesus living in her who provides power to overcome temptation, sin, and drifting off. It was the beginning of staying with Jesus even though her life became even more tumultuous on the course to freedom. God never leaves her. He loves and keeps her through an abundance of bad, and good, times. These devotions result from the overcoming experiences she had as she learned how truly Jesus loves and forgives us in our daily living. It was the beginning of the powerful, upward course to freedom and staying with God through whatever comes her way. She hopes others will be encouraged to grow likewise.
