Mitchell Moise
My name is Mitchell William Moise. I am a 38-year-old Aboriginal man, originally from Muskowekwan First Nation, my father’s home community, a traditional Saulteaux Indigenous community, located in the southern central part of Saskatchewan. My mother is from the neighbouring Cree community of George Gordon First Nation. I was born in the small rural town of Lestock, Saskatchewan, located approximately one mile from my home community of Muskowekwan First Nation. If you have enjoyed reading this book and want to know more detail about my life journey, I plan to write my autobiography, which will include stories about living in poverty, coming from a broken home, experiencing all kinds of abuse, using alcohol and drugs, and participating in the gang lifestyle in Regina, and the prison subculture in maximum security.
