R.G. Hoskins

Bob Hoskins was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Between elementary and high school he lived in Wetaskiwin. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history and religious studies from the University of Alberta and then commenced work with the provincial government as a social worker in Wetaskiwin. He returned to Edmonton in 1975. After 35 years in human services work, Bob retired in 2008. He then served as a part-time outreach worker at the Westend Seniors Activity Centre until 2014.

Now fully retired, Bob calls the Edmonton neighbourhood of Riverdale his home. He is married and has two adult children (as well as four grandchildren). His interests include music, reading, collecting and, of course, writing poetry. Although Bob’s poetry has been published within collections, Segments of my Soul is his first solo book of poetic expression.
