A Voice Behind Thee by Marie L. Bourdeau is a true story of faith and overcoming based on the author’s life and memories. There are no villains and no heroes, only real people living with real problems, and real victories; and in some cases, the reality of rejecting the pleading of the Holy Spirit.
Each one of us contributes to the joy and sorrow of those we interact with.
The purpose of writing this book is to encourage those who have experienced painful lives to turn to Jesus as Saviour, discover a path through the pain they experienced and become strong enough to overcome and live happier, healthier lives.
If somehow the story resonates with you, it is simply proof there is someone out there who has experienced something similar to what you have, or someone you know has experienced and/or is going through. We are not alone in this journey toward a better life.
It just feels like we are alone!
Life is full of difficulties, but the worst difficulty of all is to refuse God’s love displayed in Jesus Christ, and let the past get you down and keep you down.
Reviews of A Voice Behind Thee by Marie L. Bourdeau.
This is a true story of a woman who overcame heartbreak and tragedy through her amazing faith and trust in her Heavenly Father. I was sad, shocked, laughed, and cried. It was hard to put the book down.

I have known Marie over 30 years. I am amazed at how she survived the trauma and abuse she experienced. Isaiah 40:29,31 describes her well. Through it all Marie has hope in the Lord and He gives her the strength to soar on wings like eagles.

A Voice Behind Thee is a personal glimpse of the experiences Mrs. Bourdeau went through in her life. The adversity, the challenges, the chaos, the tumultuousness, is clearly a testament to her religious beliefs, and support she received.
