“Paint what Edmonton means to you.” This year-long assignment given to the members of the Society of Western Canadian Artists has resulted in the delightful collection of paintings contained in this book.

These 133 jury-selected works of art showcase Edmonton’s impressive city-scapes, the river valley in all its seasons, iconic buildings and sites, as well as neighbourhoods and people – all captured in a variety of artistic styles and mediums. The artists have included their personal thoughts about each piece, and you’ll also find, “Did you know” facts about Edmonton throughout the book.
