Paradise Unraveled

As the sun rose, I was sitting on the deck listening to a loon cry plaintively in the distance and watching the bees flit from flower to flower. The rest of my relatives were rousing to start another fun-filled day at the lake. Then my world was shattered, again and again. For years I went on a downward spiral. I drifted farther and farther from my childhood upbringing. I found myself entangled in psychiatric wards. Then it happened! I realized I had to return to my roots! This is my story.
