The inviting path through the forest
is a very tangible and accessible image to us all, and an image we can wrap around. We have all been there, whether we have visited a national park or a much closer unnamed woodlot near your home.
This work is one of the few that has a foot in two worlds of the forest, the tangible and the ethereal; the biological diversity and a pantheon of forest elemental nature spirits. They are not really two separate worlds; they are of one world – a single environ – a forest. This work will try to see it as a whole and provide ways to deeply connect to it, so that you may perceive it differently, acknowledge and open to it more fully than you have probably ever done before.
Whether you choose to do that or not, this is still a lovely book all about how interesting trees and forests are, and the new stuff we are learning about them. It will make the trails you walk through the forest prodigiously more interesting.
