Could it be: the ultimate goal of pastoring is to feed the spirit of man; shepherd his soul; and to guide the body into sanctification?
The practices of the medical field addresses the biological needs only; others attempt to rectify the problems of the mind but the preaching of the gospel alone reaches the body, soul, and the spirit.
