Trusting in Tomorrow

Josephine sat in the large winged armchair looking out into the sunlight watching with unseeing eyes as Winter was fading into Spring. Here in the Senior Citizen’s Home she had little to do but remember her life as she remembered it. But was it really what happened? Had she really been a part of the adventure or was it just things that had been planted in her head from the books she had read, the movies and TV? It had now been sometime since the funeral of her husband when the parade of people lined past her to give their condolences and best wishes, the children, grandchildren and yes the great grandchildren. Was that a month ago or much longer? Never mind she smiled inwardly and returned to that day it all began some seventy years ago plus.
