John Kloster

John Kloster

John Kloster grew up in a rural area in Saskatchewan, Canada where there was no high school. As a result, he completed his high school in Franciscan and Oblate colleges. He obtained a bachelor of arts degree from Ottawa University majoring in philosophy at St. Charles Scholasticate, Battleford, Saskatchewan where he also took some theology. Subsequently he obtained a bachelor of education degree at the University of Alberta.

While he was a teacher and elementary school principle, he attended Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington for five consecutive summers where he obtained a master of arts degree in theology.

After twenty six years of teaching, twenty-one of these years in administration, he retired to do some writing and help look after the oldest son who had multiple sclerosis. A little farming and gardening was also a part of his retired life. He and his family lived outside Edmonton near Beaumont, Alberta.
