Karen Weber

I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta with my two
sisters and brother. At age thirty I was diagnosed with
Bipolar Disorder. For many years I was embarrassed
to have a mental illness. With support from family
and friends and mostly my mom, who was my rock, I
learned to carry on and live a healthy productive life.

I found comfort in writing poems and often this creativity
proved to be therapeutic. For many years my poems
lay dormant until a friend read them. I am grateful
to Joanne for sharing her vision which inspired me to
create this tool.

We are reminded of what we value about others when
we are faced with challenges. May the recipient find
strength, hope and love from this Remembrum card.
