Annet Maitwe

Annette's school project

Annet Maitwe is a Ugandan – Canadian. She remembers when she was growing up; she had little or no access to the necessities; such as, water, food, shelter and clothes. She gives credit to her late mother, who worked very hard to send her to school. It was in school she learned English which actually became an asset when she came to Canada.
Annet holds a Master’s Degree in Education. Currently, she is an Educator at Norquest College, Edmonton. She often looks back to where she came from and imagines the young children going through the same problems she had when growing up. As a result she started a school, Ann Integrated Modern School, (AIMS) in Uganda – in the year 2016 to provide education to underprivileged children. The school enrols children from ages 3 to 12 years.
Annet believes she can make a change in children’s lives – one at a time.
