I want my work to convey the intensity of what I feel when I look at the grandeur of nature at levels both terrestrial and celestial.

Growing up in the benevolent magnificence of the forests of northern British Columbia, I particularly loved the magical intimacy found in the secret places beneath the lowest branches, and in the hidden coves and moss-covered rocks beside the tumbling  creeks. As my paintings evolve on canvas each becomes an organic expression of the energy I find in this natural world.

I am also fascinated by the sublime beauty of the cosmos, the universe expressed in the skies. This fascination is reflected in my series of paintings depicting the unearthly radiance of nebulae.
