Bob Tatz
Having “swallowed the anchor,” a nautical term for abandoning a career on ocean ships, Bob Tatz eventually settled in the province of Alberta, Canada. With credentials of a professional marine engineer it wasn’t long before Bob established a reputation as a versatile engineering consultant. He remains a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science, and Technology (UK).
His varied experience in the marine engineering field stood him in a good stead and was instrumental for his advancement in his new career. By meeting Canadian and US standards, Bob enhanced his ability to provide valued service to his clients. With encouragement from loyal industry connections, Bob eventually established his own business which grew as his client base increased.
Bob is well travelled nationally as well as internationally, both in business and in retirement , and he easily enjoys the opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life.
He published his first book, Lost in the Battle for Hong Kong, in the spring of 2019.
For relaxation Bob enjoys art sketching, and looks forward to resuming creating with oil paint again after a long absence.
