Dahlia Joan Ross

Dahlia Joan Ross has been a prolific writer of poetry for over 25 years; she’s inspired by religious themes, nature and holistic observation of various cultures. Dahlia hails from the beautiful island of Grenada; she’s presently living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She recently completed studies in Early Childhood Education at Grant McEwan College, and holds a Diploma in Working With Adolescence, a Child and Youth Worker course done at the UWI Cave Hill Campus in Barbados.

At present Dahlia directs a ministry called Spiritual Oasis in the Desert, which supports underprivileged children and orphanages in East, West and Central Africa.

As of 2023, she has volunteered at the NPC Children’s homes in Kenya and Tanzania for three months. More recently, she has visited Kenya with a mandate to have a women’s retreat where women can gather safely together to interact and pray without the interruption of other family members.
