Michael Uhryn

Michael Urhyn was born on June 23, 1936 in a small town in Peace River County in Northern Alberta. His early years centered in a rural environment and farm living. After graduating from highschool, he attended the University of Alberta earning a Master’s degree. After spending a considerable time as an instructor in education, he became involved with business, social activism and music.

During the Vietnam War, he participated actively in helping to mobilize people, compelling the United States to end its unjustifiable position in the war. In recent years, he has actively been wrestling with and trying to bring greater awareness to the two existential threats facing humanity-climate (environmental) change and nuclear war.

He feels passionately about exposing the destructive negative values being propagandized in society and considers it his duty to promote antipodal egalitarian values as humanity is on its long and difficult journey to building a global humanitarian village.
