R.G. Moyles

Dr. R.G. Moyles is a professor emeritus at the University of Alberta, where he taught Canadian Literature and served as Associate Dean of Arts. He was born in Newfoundland and Labrador, educated at Memorial University and the University of London. He has written and edited more than thirty books, his most recent being โ€˜Death Stalked the Trailsโ€™: The Klondike Gold Rush Through Edmonton 1897-98 (Edmonton and District Historical Society, 2023) and A Salvation Army Chaplain in World War I: Robert Penfoldโ€™s โ€˜Letters from Overseasโ€™ (AGM Publishing, 2024). Dr. Moyles is a member of the Edmonton Temple Corps of The Salvation Army and shares an active retirement with his wife, Ada.
