Sheryl Hanula

Sheryl Hanula is an anthropologist, photographer, and nature based healing facilitator. This is her first foray into the world of writing.
Growing up in small town Ontario, she has now found herself once again in a tiny community on Vancouver Island where nature abounds and is awe-inspiring.

A former event planner, wedding photographer and general dog’s body for creating beautiful, successful events, Sheryl traded the glamour and late nights for nature, gardens, and digging in the dirt. She now is striving to draw all of the tentacles of her far reaching desire to help heal trauma and isolation into one cohesive unit. Combining poetic prose and stunning landscape photography she hopes to restore and reset the parasympathetic nervous system of anyone who feels alone and isolated in this digital
world.

With the publication of her first book, she is looking forward to offering respite and solace to anyone who does not have the luxury of being close to, or able to venture forth into the natural landscape.

Sheryl is a single mother of a wildly inquisitive and forest loving daughter. She has always had a love of dance, photography, nature, food preservation, food security and the breathtaking feeling of being immersed into a collective vibe during live music concerts.

When Sheryl is not writing, you can find her behind the lens of a camera, and in the forests, mountains, oceans and lakes surrounding her home with her daughter, searching for alpine lupines, mountain sunrises and the elusive perfect swimming spot, dancing in the kitchen, digging in the garden or adopting another cat.
