In regards to The Answer: Songbook, something was missing in my life. I felt lost; tossed about like a ship on the rolling sea amidst a deadly storm. Fear and worry were my colleagues. Hope, faith and love were out of sight. It seemed impossible to find the direction for a safe harbour.
Then the miracle happened. People started showing up on the shores and calling my name. I followed the direction of the voices and by God’s grace arrived close to shore, setting anchor. The landing was still hard, but there were boulders for me to climb on, some large, some small. Hands (too many to mention) began reaching out and pulling me to safety, from the slippery slope to solid ground.
Now I no longer feel lost. I live by faith, I have hope that my future is safely in God’s hands, and I experience God’s love through my many project and collaborators. This book and CD, and the accompanying workbooks for Spiritual Disciplines in Breaking Addiction, come from my journey and from those who have journeyed with me.
