Charlie Sheen – Breakdown or Breakthrough?

Recreational drug use is not the normal or recommended path to personal growth and transformation. Excessive drug use is known to destroy the chemistry of the brain, bring forgetfulness, and decrease opportunities to become alert. In Charlie Sheen’s case however, sex and drugs happened with such totality that his “meltdown” served as a catalytic agent to deconstruct his childhood programming, which was the source of his suffering. He created a surging energy phenomenon where his repressed emotions uncoiled and his ego structures dissolved. Rather than repressing, he expressed his sex and anger forcefully; he encountered the inferno that raged on the inside, energized it and then totally surrendered. He was ready to give up his ego’s attachment to social dogma, to express totally and to risk everything. “Sin boldly,” said Martin Luther. Taking the risk, again and again, of going into the unknown, of looking naive and stupid, Charlie moved to the next stage as his courage and tolerance grew. He was astonished to learn that he had become cleansed by the fire. “I am battle tested bayonets, bro,” he says of his new reality.
