This is the epic tale of our family. It starts in 1886 with my Great-Grandparents, in Battian, a small village without a school on the banks of River Ravi. My father, with a grade 10 education and hard work, managed to establish a successful printing business. Then came the Partition of India in 1947, characterized by sectarian violence, bloodshed, and mass migration along religious lines. Our family was part of this ethnic cleansing and became refugees, lost everything, and struggled to feed and educate seven children.
But our journey didnโt end thereโฆ
