Listening 6: Book of Colossians

As Jesus speaks to us through this letter, He talks of His glorious pre-eminence in all of creation and affirms His Deity. Your life in Him must be real and not tied up in form or legalism. He says we need to constantly clothe ourselves with the garments that He provides. Our relationship with Him affects the relationships we have with all others. This study in Colossians is divided into four parts. Part I consists of verses taken from the New Living Translation. This is followed by Listening To Jesus through these verses and concludes with challenge questions for further discussion. Part II is designed for leaders. This consists of suggested answers to the previous question in part I. The first part of the answer generally focuses on the Bible for an answer. This is divided by the @ symbol. Following this symbol, the answer consists of a personal reference to the question. This is to encourage you to look at your own life application. These studies are to help us grow deeper in our daily journey with Jesus. Part III challenges the reader to apply this study to his or her life and to the life of a congregation. Part IV contains the four chapters of Colossians, as we listen to Jesus.
