““Magpie! Magpie!” Maggie was determined not to cry, again. “Shut up, you jerks!” she yelled back at her tormenters. “I am not a magpie. My name is Maggie! Maggie!” The Creek Crescent Gang, or CCG, as they called themselves, had found their favorite victim at the neighborhood playground. Maggie’s mother had told her daughter to go out and play in the park across from their house. She had refused to listen to any concerns her daughter had about the local children. She believed it should be easy to get out there and just make friends.”
