The sole purpose of the publication of this book is to show the healing power of poetry. Though the poems are simple in nature, they were written from the heart. I claim no talent and am more story teller than poet, but believe that the poetry was a gift from my God to help me overcome my addiction. Originally, they were written for myself, as a way to deal with my problems. My addiction had cost me my family and so-called friends, and left me homeless and alone. My recovery was not easy, but I had lots of help and from the most unlikely sources.
