Many of us preach the word of God within a walled building and without taking action to care for lost souls. It doesn’t benefit the kingdom of God at all: in fact, it causes us to be discouraged and unfulfilled.
When I was still blind, deaf and lost, my mother ministered to me constantly, but that was not all. She spent time in prayer and fasting for my salvation, checked up on me regularly and was always there for me during my court hearings and my time in the hospital. God showed Himself to me and proved Himself faithful, not because of me, but the prayers of my mother. I told myself if God really loves me He will change me, but that was desperation and accepting defeat. I forgot He died on the cross for me already.
To the glory of His name, God changed me completely. It is no longer I who live, but Christ, therefore I do not know myself as I used to anymore. Now I am not that person who sells drugs, drinks alcohol, smokes, fights, holds guns, fornicates, etc. Apostle Paul once wrote, I am who I am by the Grace of God,” and above all, the Lord Jesus said, To whom much is given, much is expected.” God said to me He is going to use this testimony against the devil to let His people go free.
