Dianne Palovcik

Author Dianne Polovick

Historical fiction author Dianne (Taylor) Palovcik began her writing career after retirement when she challenged herself to write a novel. Her work focuses on Canadian history, bringing it to life with relatable characters, strong storylines and detailed settings.

Dianneโ€™s successful debut novel, In Trouble is disturbing and illuminating fiction, a story of unwed mothers and forced adoption in Canada during the 1960โ€™s.

Old Wounds is her third novel. In Trouble was recognized by the Writers Guild of Alberta in 2020 with an in-depth interview of the author and her work. Not All Widows Wear Black weaves an engaging Victorian tale complete with lies, revenge, murder and a touch of romance.

Dianne lives in Alberta, Canada. She is a graduate of Acadia University and completed studies at the University of Alberta, University of San Francisco and Lakeland College. When not writing, she enjoys time with family and friends, plays golf badly, and travels with her husband.
