The sequel to best seller “Athabasca Seasons: a Memoir”, “Bright Baubles, Tarnished Trinkets” is Audrey Weldon Reid’s second collection of short stories. She recounts more childhood tales, evoking the sights, sounds and smells of her parents’ farm near the town of Athabasca. She also tells of her adulthood including her first birth experience, her job as a school librarian, and her reaction to catching a glimpse of herself in a mirror.
