The devil is the ruling principality over all the children of pride. With regards to this, it is portrayed in the book of Job 41 as Leviathan. This account is a prophetic picture of a very real spiritual force. It presents him as a principality that can cause much pain. It says if we pick a fight with him, we will remember the battle and never do that again.
We cannot break his power by using power. We must learn to starve him out!
