As they passed by, he reasoned that it must have been night time at the resort to which these contest winners were sent. Get your rest, for a war will await you and your return to Earth. The planet’s surface was marked with lines of water that had long ago disappeared. The presence of man’s inventions cluttering the land had warmed and, despite the still-frigid air, had condensed into unnatural pools meant for tourist activities. Its raw power was now a spectacle, overrun with moneymakers and evidence of being owned. Mosaiah scratched his chest.
