This collection of poems was written over the span of twenty years while the author, William Wang, was a bus operator with the City of Edmonton. The poems reflect on who we are as individuals, to where we are going each day. They are written from his perspective of seeing the city from behind the wheel, through the windshield, while various challenging weather conditions and seasons pass on by. Like A Stranger, the author recalled the brief moments of interaction being shared with a passenger, each making a lasting impression on his mind. The poems depict the everyday connections that are forged on the bus, and that continue to resonate within our hearts long after the bus ride has ended. The poems also record the vibrant growth witnessed within our city, where old pieces of history are sometimes being replaced or forgotten by those passing by.
