Maxine Elaine James

Maxine Elaine James grew up in Jamaica, surrounded
by mangoes and oranges, sugar
cane sellers and school teachers, family
and friends. Along with the usual trials
of childhood, Maxine also had to contend
with Juvenile Diabetes, a condition
that claimed the life of her mother and
sister. She moved to Canada in 1987 and
now resides in Edmonton, Alberta.
