Unexpected And Undeserved

Redemption is when you stop coveting worldly goods and possessions and become liberated spiritually

Faith is when you put your complete trust in something or someone

Resilience is when you overcome struggles in life e.g. addiction

Gratitude is when you are thankful for and appreciate even the simplest things of life

Joy is when you feel fulfilled and content in life

This book exemplifies all of the above. This book is a testament of God’s glory in my life.

I felt in my spirit that God wanted me to write this book to encourage people to keep their hopes and trust in Jesus.

In this book you will read of how my husband and I have walked though many difficult challenging times. We have learned that when we put our trust in God we found him to be faithful in every circumstance. It is true what the Bible says…

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Romans 8:28

I am hoping that my story encourages you in your journey to trust the Lord in all things instead of leaning on your own understanding.

His ways are higher than ours. Our story isn’t finished, but He will finish the work He started when we surrender to Him. He is good in every circumstance, and He will never leave your side.

We have suffered a many losses in our life, but because of God’s goodness we were able to make it through these times. He carried us when we couldn’t walk in our own strength.

Excerpt from Unexpected And Undeserved: Guts For God’s Glory by Margo Kirkpatrick:

“Another time, before heading out to hunt, we prayed as we always do. I prayed whatever animal Jesus wanted us to shoot, he would bring it out.

I went to my spot and the others went to their spots. I always set the timer, on my phone, to go off a minute before hunting time is up.

My cell phone alarm is set to play a ballerina music box song. Near the end of legal hunting time, a cow and bull moose came to the edge of the tree line, about 350 yards from me.

The cow headed along the outside of the tree line, while the bull stayed to the inside. They were going farther away as they walked.

I only had a tag for a bull moose. I prayed for the bull to come out. When he did, I asked God to have him turn broadside for me, (when hunting it presents the best shot.)

When he did I aimed and pulled the trigger. Click! What! The bullet didn’t fire. I checked my gun, everything looked as it should.

There was no reason why the gun wouldn’t fire. I pulled that bullet out and aimed with another. Click again! What! Repeat! I took out that bullet too.

When I lined up the next bullet my phone alarm went off! Panicking, I took off my gloves, trying to get my phone out of my pocket to turn it off.

It was really funny because both moose stood there curiously looking at me to see what that sound was? I quickly pulled my gun up and shot.

Down went the bull moose and the cow ran away. There was literally only seconds to spare within the legal hunting time limit.”
